A strike could be on the horizon if GM doesn't meet Unifor's demands in upcoming contract talks.
INGERSOLL - Employees at CAMI are preparing for the possibility of a strike.
Members of Unifor Local 88 have voted 97 percent in favour of strike action if General Motors doesn't meet their contract demands in upcoming discussions. Plant Chair Mike Van Boekel told CTV News that job security is their biggest concern, adding that working two weeks off and two weeks on has killed their membership.
He says the union is hoping to have a tentative agreement in place by September 22nd.
