Canada - U.S. Border Restrictions to Remain in Place Another Month

It'll be at least another month before you can cross the border.

Public Safety Minister Bill Blair says both the Canadian and American governments are extending restrictions surrounding non-essential  international travel until July 21st.

In a tweet, he noted that the government is planning measures to allow fully vaccinated Canadians to enter the country, and an announcement will be made on Monday.

Previously, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that 75 percent of Canadians need to be vaccinated before border restrictions can be loosened, and the virus needs to be at a stage where minor spikes can be handled efficiently.
