The community is invited to a Paint Party.
WOODSTOCK - Caressent Care is encouraging the public to get out their paint brushes.
Painters from all levels and ages are welcome to attend the Paint Party. They can expect to paint a winter scene with a log cabin to connect with the weather in from the past couple of days.
Activity Coordinator Lynne Wlad says they have a special guest.
"We have an artist, Kim Start, that comes in and she presents the painting, she gives us instruction, we follow the instructions. It's a fun event and a fundraiser."
The event first began in September last year, before offering classes to the public.
Wlad adds people really enjoy it.
"We started off as paint nights, therapy night for the staff, so what they got out of it was they found it very calming and very therapeutic. There was also a lot of laughter. It's like a little competition."
Proceeds from the event will go back to the facility.
It is $35.00 to buy your spot at the door. The event will be on January 21st, running from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
