A huge win for College Avenue Secondary School in Senior Football. They played Mother Theresa and came out with the 18-14 victory to move on to the semifinals.
WOODSTOCK - College Avenue Secondary School's Senior Football team is in the playoffs.
Offensive Coordinator, Jaimen Allison says they team is finding their rhythm.
"So, we just came off a historic win yesterday (Thursday, October 26th) at Mother Theresa Secondary School. I say historic because they had been a prolific team, scoring over 250 points this season."
The final score was 18-14, in what Allison called a mud bowl.
He says how the team has battled all season.
"We are just little College Ave Secondary School. No one in the conference, coaches had given us a shot to win that game, we were feeling pretty good going in."
Allison adds team started the season with injuries and started 0-2, and was blown out at Oakridge during the season, and had not played Mother Theresa.
Up next for College Ave is a date with Parkside Collegiate Institute on Thursday, November 2nd. The game is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at One Password Park in St. Thomas.
The winner of this game will face the winner of Medway versus Oakridge.
