Retired General Rick Hillier is leaving his post as the Chair of Ontario's Vaccine Task Force at the end of the month.
ONTARIO - Retired General Rick Hillier is leaving his post as the Chair of Ontario's Vaccine Task Force at the end of the month.
During a news conference today, Premier Ford confirmed the news saying, the General has done a great job getting us ready to go and Hillier has agreed to not extend his appointment past March 31. Ford had nothing but praise for the retired general saying he did a fantastic job getting everything set up.
Hillier was first named the position in December and has earned over $20,000 a month for his efforts. Ford today called him an absolute champion. His contract was set to expire at the end of the month and will not be extended.
