Conservation officers with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry spoke with 48 hunters in the counties of Oxford, Elgin, Middlesex and Norfolk.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry conducted a coyote hunting enforcement blitz in the counties of Oxford, Elgin, Middlesex and Norfolk.
Undercover officers in unmarked cars spoke with 48 hunters during the four day period. They laid nine charges and issued two warnings.
The offences included the following;
- Having a loaded firearm in a vehicle
- Unlawfully abandoning the pelt of a coyote
- Hunting without a small game license
- Hunting without carrying a license
The Ministry decided to conduct the blitz after receiving complaints from multiple residents in the Aylmer area.
