The City of Woodstock is taking possession of two long neglected Tecumseh St. properties. The lands that were formerly Thomas Built Buses (275 and 255 Tecumseh) have been turned over to the city. The owner of the properties owed the city over $950,000 in outstanding taxes, and the mortgage was in the hands of the Business Development Bank of Canada. In a news release this afternoon, the city says they've negotiated to take over the properties and the previous owners are removing their equipment. The release also says the city will review options for the land, and that there are no plans to demolish any current buildings on the properties.
