In local hockey action the battle of 59 was a tight one at Southwood arena in Woodstock Friday night. The Norwich Merchants defeated the Woodstock Navy Vets by a slim margin of 5-4 with just 40 seconds left in Overtime. Dylan Lazarus scored a goal and grabbed 2 assists for the Vets with Chris Gilders, Kyle Robertson & Derek Cowing also scoring a goal each. The Vets next game is Friday night January 13th where they will take on the New Hamburg Firebirds. Game time set for 7:45.
