A deal has been reached with the workers of the Canadian Mental Health Association-Oxford. The OPSEU Local #133 bargaining team says they agreed on a 3-year tentative contract on Tuesday. According to an email from Tischa Forster, Local #133 President, the deal is respectful, fair and values the mental health care professionals at CMHA-Oxford. Forster says "we are excited about working with our new Executive Director, Mike McMahon, and the progress made Tuesday in changing labour relations". The ratification of the tentative agreement is scheduled for this evening which means there will be no service disruptions for the clients. We'll have more on this story including reactions later today.
