The eastbound lanes between Middle Townline Road and Rest Acres Road were closed for several hours on Saturday.
BRANT - The OPP closed a section of Highway 403 eastbound after a crash involving two commercial vehicles in Brant County.
Police say a box truck collided with a transport truck somewhere between Middle Townline Road and Rest Acres Road at around 5:00 a.m. on Saturday.
OPP Sergeant Ed Sanchuk was able to share some good news on the OPP West Region X page about five hours later.
"Both drivers were transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, which is the best news I could deliver all day. Those vehicles could be replaced but the drivers cannot."
The highway reopened at around 2:00 p.m. and no further details have been released.
OPEN - All E/B lanes of #Hwy403 between Middle Town Line Rd and Rest Acres Rd are now open! The #OPP would like to thank the motoring public for their patience and heavy tow operators for removing both commercial vehicles. Please drive safe! @BrantCommunity #WROPP ^es pic.twitter.com/zLYV1Wmu8t
