Navy Vets making moves after 15th straight defeat
After only 3 wins in 28 games this season, the Woodstock Navy Vets are making changes.
After last night's 5-1 loss to Norwich, their 15th in a row, Vets management let go of Head Coach Frank Mueller and assistant coach Rob Hutchison.
Team President Devon Young says the losing streak isn't just on the coaches, but a move had to be made. "The players were getting more frustrated in general, and it's our job as management to make sure that changes."
There's been no announcement on new coaches yet. Young says that could be finalized as soon as tonight. He did emphasize that there are new coaches coming in to give the players a fresh perspective.
Young did want to thank Mueller and Hutchison for their contributions. "I want to thank Frank Mueller and Rob Hutchison for everything they have done. This isn't something that just lies on their shoulders, it's all of us. It's all the players and the management's job to produce a winning team."
The new coaches are expected to be behind the bench when the Navy Vets are home to take on the Delhi Travellers on Friday night.
