Woodstock and Guelph Police lay charges as part of joint drug investigation.

WOODSTOCK / GUELPH -- A drug trafficking investigation between Woodstock Police Service and Guelph Police  dubbed "Project Vegas" has come to a successful conclusion this week, after several months of investigation.  In all, eight search warrants were executed this week within the cities of Woodstock, Waterloo and Guelph.

The investigation resulted in the seizure of cocaine with a street value of over $100,000 dollars, cash, a 2005 Honda Civic and marijuana with a street value of approximately $4000 dollars.

As a result, two people from Woodstock are facing multiple drug charges, while seven others were also arrested and charged with similar offenses.

Police arrested 33 year old Brandon Wilson and 28 year old Leesha Morgan, both of Woodstock.

Wilson is charged with four counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

Police meanwhile charged Morgan with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
