WOODSTOCK - Entrepreneurs in Woodstock will get a chance to connect during a virtual networking event.
The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce is organizing Coffee and #ConnectingWoodstock on Zoom on August 18th.
General Manager Kim Whitehead says it's a great way to do some networking in your own home.
"You will potentially be meeting people you have not interacted with before and you'll get a little bit more of an in-depth conversation when we go into the breakout rooms."
She says everyone will have two minutes to introduce themselves and their business before they break off into Zoom rooms to connect with four different people.
She adds this the first time they're organizing this kind event and they're hoping to hold more of them on a regular basis.
Whitehead encourages entrepreneurs to not only use this event to connect but raise awareness about their business.
"We all need to network especially now and doing some in-person networking you're very limited in size, where as this it opens it up to more people."
She adds they'll be hosting an in-person event next week called Chamber Lawn Chair Lunch and social distancing rules will be in effect.
The virtual networking event runs from 8:00 to 9:00 am and registration is now open and you can sign up here.
She says registration is limited and it will close on Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
