The Woodstock Art Gallery hosted a Public Information Centre on Wednesday. The purpose was to hear feedback from the public on downtown alley reconstruction which is scheduled to begin in August and last until mid November. The alley's stretch from Vansittart Ave to Riddell Street. Improvements to the alleyways include: new storm sewers, rebuilt hydro, reconstructed road bases, and surfaces. With this project parking could be affected. Deputy City Engineer Douglas Ellis said, "Right now we are looking at the all day lots for temporary parking." Good news for the city of Woodstock, is that construction will not be taking place during the Summer Fest event. For more information about the project please call 519-539-2382 or send and email to dellis@city.woodstock.on.ca
