13 Organizations took home a combined amount of $46,100 after the latest Woodstock Council Meeting.
WOODSTOCK - Oxford organizations were given a combined total of $47,100 in community grants.
In Thursday’s Woodstock Council Meeting, 13 organizations were awarded funding out of the 21 applications they received for the spring intake of the community Grants Program.
Organizations were given anywhere between $1,000 to over $5,000. Theatre Woodstock took home the biggest sum after being awarded $5,600.
Here is the full list of organizations and how much they were given:
- 13th Woodstock Scouts ($3,000)
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County ($5,000)
- Oxford County Branch of Ontario Ancestors ($1,000)
- Oxford County Trails Council ($1,000)
- Oxford Pride Committee ($5,000)
- Parent/Student Council of Friendly City Taekwon-Do ($1,500)
- Rotary Club of Woodstock - Festival of Music ($5,000)
- Special Olympics Ontario - Woodstock ($5,000)
- Theatre Woodstock on behalf og STAGES Youth tHEATRE ($5,600)
- Woodstock & District Development Services ($5,000)
- Woodstock Dragon Boat Club ($4,000)
- Woodstock Minor Ball Association ($5,000)
- Woodstock Triathlon Club - Kids Du Committee ($1,000)
There is still $109,430 in the community fund grants account which will be handed out during their fall intake.
The deadline to submit applications is Tuesday, Sept. 2 by 4:30 p.m.
