Oxford County Council will consider sending in a provincial funding application for a new long-term care facility in Ingersoll.
INGERSOLL - Oxford County could be sending in a funding application to the province, in order to build a new long-term care facility in Ingersoll.
Council will look over a report from staff tonight, detailing the proposed facility.
It would be very similar to the Woodingford Lodge site in Woodstock with 160 beds. The staff report also says this new facility would create more than 200 permanent jobs in the area and it would be part of a campus of care alongside Alexandra Hospital and the existing Woodingford Lodge in Ingersoll.
This facility would be able to start accepting residents by late 2028 if the funding application is approved.
The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. tonight and you can live stream it online here.
