Oxford County is now looking for input for the draft Transportation Master Plan for 2024 and the draft Water and Wastewater Master Plan for next year.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County Council discussed not one but two draft master plans during the latest meeting.
One of the plans discussed was a draft Transportation Master Plan for 2024 but nothing has been set in stone yet.
For the next 75 days, Warden Marcus Ryan says you can go to Speak Up Oxford and provide your input on what transportation infrastructure needs attention.
"We're going to put it out for public input, and also they're going to be refined. So at this point, what you do is you identify that intersection or that road will be busier, water and wastewater, sometimes it's as simple as a pipe from the road to a new home or a larger home or apartment building, and then we monitor it between now and then to say, 'What will be the best fixes to make that intersection better between now and then?' At this point, it's identifying where we need to look and figure out what we need to do. Because it's a master plan, not at this point necessarily a decision as to what exactly is going to be done."
County Council also looked over the draft Water and Wastewater Master Plan for next year. A 75-day public consultation period is also underway for that survey on the Speak Up Oxford website.
You can find both of the master plan surveys online here.
