You can now see exactly how your tax dollars were spent. Oxford County has released its first ever Annual Report. The report includes last years achievements as well as financial performances. David McRoberts with the County says, "Hopefully it will allow the public a better understanding of where their money does go. And maybe it will encourage them to come to the budget processes and get more involved in that end of things." One of its key accomplishments is the introduction of a long-term financial sustainability plan. "It's a very all-encompassing document to guide the County towards its future. We'll also work closely once the strategic plan is done by council, hopefully it will align well with that to keep the County going forward progressively." You can view the report for yourself on the Oxford County website.
