A 28-year-old has been charged after a vehicle hit a home in Woodstock early this morning.
WOODSTOCK - Charges have been laid after a vehicle crashed into a home in the Friendly City.
Residents of the home on Main Street, close to Douglas Street, were awoken by the crash at 4:00 a.m. and witnessed the driver attempting the exit the vehicle through a broken window.
The Woodstock Police Service responded immediately and charged a 28-year-old man from Woodstock with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs and failure or refusal to comply with the demand.
No major injuries were reported, but the driver had minor cuts on his face.
Officers have closed off the area of Main Street between Butler Street and Mill Street for the investigation, and Enbridge Gas has been called in to address a broken gas line. There is no word as to when the area will reopen at this time.
