Health Canada has confirmed that the deadly drug carfentanil was discovered in drugs seized in the Friendly City back in September.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are warning the public about a deadly drug that is circulating in the community.
Two drug samples seized back in September have tested positive for carfentanil. Carfentanil is odourless and tasteless and is 100 times more power than fentanyl. It can be added to other drugs without users knowing it. Health Canada conducted the tests and confirmed the findings. Carfentanil is more likely to cause an overdose.
If you suspect that an overdose has occurred, please call 911 for assistance.
