Caregivers can learn new techniques during a two day conference about Alzheimer's and Dementia.
INGERSOLL - A world renowned Alzheimer and Dementia care expert is coming back to Oxford County.
Teepa Snow will be at the Elm Hurst Inn for two days next month.
Shelley Green, the Executive Director of the Alzheimer's Society of Oxford, tells Heart FM caregivers who attend will walk away with a lot of information.
"The way that she presents the information is so practical in nature that you walk away from that day really feeling like you have learned some new techniques and new information that will help in caring for people who are either living with you as a family member or if you're working with people who have dementia either in a care facility or in the community."
The Teepa Snow Conference will take place on May 1st and 2nd from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It costs $115 to check out one day or $190 to attend both days and refreshments and lunch are included. Those interested must register before April 27th. They can register online here, call the Alzheimer's Society of Oxford 519-421-2466 or visit the Alzheimer's Society of Oxford's office on 575 Peel Street in Woodstock.
