Four children were rushed to the hospital, one by air ambulance after a crash in East Zorra-Tavistock.
EAST ZORRA-TAVISTOCK - Six people including four children were rushed to the hospital after a crash in East Zorra Tavistock.
Luckily nobody was fatally injured during the crash which happened between a pickup truck and a minivan at the intersection of Maplewood Sideroad and the 13th Concession. The crash happened last Friday around 9:00 a.m. when the minivan failed to stop at the stop sign and was hit by the truck. Both vehicles came to rest in the southeast ditch.
The driver of the truck and her 10 month old infant son were taken to a local area hospital where they were treated for minor injuries. The driver of the minivan was also taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. One of the children in the van, an 11 year old girl was airlifted to a London hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries. A five year old girl was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries and an 8 year old girl was taken to the hospital as well with minor injuries. Another three children in the van were treated at the scene.
The area roads were closed for several hours to assist with the investigation. The collision remains under investigation.
