OXFORD COUNTY - Safe and Well Oxford is on the hunt for community members who want to improve Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the County.
The DEI Action Coalition consists of members with personal interests and experiences with diversity, equity, and inclusion issues. They offer advice, knowledge, and perspective on issues and support the Coalition's planning work to address challenges and risks.
In a media release, Warden Marcus Ryan expressed the importance of the committee.
"The DEI Action Coalition will operate from a position of ensuring 'no one is left behind' when it comes to embracing the many different people who make up our community. The voice of our residents, especially those who may feel marginalized or disconnected, must be at the table if we are to create a culture that is truly welcoming and embracing of all."
Applications for the Coalition Team are open until May 31st.
