SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - The community has really stepped up to help a father and son who lost everything in a house fire on Sunday night in Salford.
The Father and his 16 year old were able to get the pets out of the home safely, but the fire destroyed the home and the garage, which had the 16 year old's truck inside. Yesterday donations from the community came in all day. The pair were only asking for clothing and they are now well covered with jackets and pants. They are going to donate any extra clothing, they don't need to others in need.
The father and son are currently living at different places at the moment and could still use some help as they try to rebuild their life after the fire. Right now they are accepting donations for towels, bedding, gift cards and tools.
If anyone has a lead for a rental place, that would be great as well. You can drop off donations again today at 313608 Dereham Line in Salford and they are also accepting donations on Quinn Drive in Salford and at Local 88 Unifor Hall on Victoria St in Ingersoll.
