Town of Ingersoll staff want input on potential changes to the parking situation downtown.
INGERSOLL - The Town of Ingersoll is looking for input on its downtown parking situation.
A draft version of a Downtown Parking Study is available on the town's website, but staff would like to hear what residents think before presenting the final report to council.
An online survey is now up and running and it highlights some of the recommendations in the draft report. This includes adjusting the time restrictions on Thames Street South from three hours to one and the library parking lot from 30 minutes to two hours. Another recommendation called for emergency call boxes to be installed in under utilized parking lots, using the lot behind Canada Post and the lot between St. Andrew Street and Charles Street as examples.
The survey closes April 7th and you can find it online here. Town staff will look over all of the survey results before submitting the final report to council.
