Drugs Collected

Plenty of potent medication and prescription drugs won't be taken, stolen or re-sold following another successful prescription drug drop off over the weekend.

WOODSTOCK -- Some fairly strong prescription drugs won't be falling into the wrong hands thanks to community involvement from Saturday's Prescription Drug Drop Off Day in the city.

On Saturday, Woodstock Police along with Shoppers Drug Mart, and Crime stoppers collected unused prescription drugs all in an attempt to bring down the misuse of medications including recreational use.

In total police collected 818 grams of prescription drugs off the streets including Hydro-morphone, Oxycocet, and Percocets.

For those who missed this past weekend's drop off, pharmacies across Ontario can still collect unused medications and prescriptions at any time.
