A 23-year-old is facing impaired driving related charges in Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - A Woodstonian has been busted for impaired driving in their hometown.
This comes after Woodstock Police stopped a vehicle on Vansittart Ave, close to Dundas Street, shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Saturday.
The vehicle was honking its horn, so the officers pulled it over and had reason to believe the driver had been drinking. They collected a breath sample and discovered that the driver had more than double the legal limit of alcohol in their system.
The 23-year-old has since been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80. Their licence has been suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for a week.
