Around 1800 livestock were inside a large barn fire this morning in Perth.
UPDATE: Perth Line 16 has been re-opened after an early morning barn fire.
The fire has been determined to be non-suspicious in nature. Roughly 1,800 pigs were inside the barn at the time of the blaze, all of which were lost. No people were injured in this fire.
PERTH COUNTY - West Perth Fire, St.Marys and Sebringville Fire Departments were all on the scene of a barn fire on Perth Line 16 in Perth South.
The fire happened around 6am this morning, with about 1800 livestock inside the barn at the time of the blaze, it is not known at this time if any died in the fire.
Perth Line 16 will be closed from Hwy#7 to Perth Road 122 for several hours as a result of an ongoing investigation.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
