More firsts for the PWHL. Game used equipment is at the Hockey Hall of Fame, including sticks and pucks from Oxford County's Ella Shelton.
OXFORD COUNTY/TORONTO - It is a season of firsts for the PWHL.
The season began on January 1st, and the first All-Star game took place on February 1st.
Oxford County’s Ella Shelton has some game used equipment at the Hockey Hall of Fame.
From the game on January 1st Shelton’s stick, has been donated to the “Women’s Hockey – Celebrating Excellence” exhibit.
Shelton also donated her stick and puck from the All-Star game, which was from the 1st PWHL All-Star goal.
In a release on the Hockey Hall of Fame website, Ella Shelton is quoted as saying, “To come to the Hockey Hall of Fame and see the Women’s exhibit has been so incredible. To view all the history behind the Women’s game has been very emotional. I can’t thank all these women enough for their dedication and hard work. To be a part of this history is something I will never forget.”
