Those wanting to borrow books from the Embro Library will have to wait a few weeks. Oxford County Library CEO Lisa Miettinen says they had to close it because of some safety concerns. "Some of the plaster from the ceiling had fallen down about a week ago and was repaired by the township, and it is a Township of Zorra owned facility, and they did some further inspections and determined that the problem is more widespread, so there's potentially a safety hazard for the public and staff. So they requested that the library close down as of yesterday (Tuesday) so that they can assess the repairs," said Miettenen. The library will be closed for 3 weeks as ceiling repairs are made. Overdue fines won't be charged. Patrons may continue to return items to the Embro Library's drop box located outside at the front of the building or return items to any other Oxford County Library branch.
