enGAGE at Woodstock East Side Mario’s

East Side Mario's in Woodstock will be donating 10 percent of the proceeds they make between 5pm and 8pm this Wednesday to the family of Gage Foster, a 7 year old boy with brain cancer.

WOODSTOCK - It's a great opportunity to engage with the community, enjoy a delicious meal and help raise money for a local cause.

This Wednesday the East Side Mario's on Norwich Ave will donate 10 percent of all of their sales between 5pm and 8pm to the family of Gage Foster, a 7 year old boy with brain cancer.

Anita James, a friend of the family tells Heart FM the Fosters have really been appreciating all of the support they have received from the community so far.

"Every time I see them, they're always so strong and he's smiling and same with the family. I don't know how they're getting through this but I believe it's the love and support of the family and what they're getting from the community that's keeping them the way they are."

James says Gage recently received his last dose of chemotherapy.

"It's waiting game to see what the MRI shows now. Hopefully it's doing what it's supposed to and they're going to be heading off to either London or Toronto soon as well."

All of the money raised will help the family cover loss of income and pay for further treatment for Gage. James hopes the enGAGE at East Side’s fundraiser will bring in somewhere between $1,500 and $2,000.
