WINDSOR - Jurors saw the arrest video and heard the 911 call in the London attack trial yesterday.
A 22-year-old man is facing four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder after a pickup truck hit the Afzaal family back in June of 2021, while they were out for an evening stroll.
In the video jurors saw the man, who was 20 at the time, kneel on the ground and put his hands on his head as police arrived on scene.
They also heard that the man asked a cab driver to call 911 after the attack, and they heard him tell the operator that he crashed into the Muslim family on purpose in the recording.
Prosecutors have called this an act of terrorism, and the man has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The trial will continue today.
