Woodstock Police say the report of an armed robbery earlier this month was false, but in a bizarre twist, led them to solving some unrelated robberies. On April 14th, a female employee at New Orleans Pizza told police a man armed with a knife came in the restaurant and demanded cash. She stated that he grabbed the cash and fled on foot. Police say their investigation revealed that this robbery never occurred. Through their investigation and connecting the suspect descriptions with a robbery that happened at New Orleans Pizza in Ingersoll, police were able to link the suspects to a copper theft at a Hydro One substation in London. A total of six people are now facing robbery related charges. Brittany Hussey, age 23, of Woodstock is charged with possession of property obtained by crime, break and enter, theft and two counts of public mischief. Trent Hussey, age 24, of Woodstock is charged with break and enter, and possession stolen property. Cody Chesney, age 22, of Woodstock is charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime. Greg Baldwin, age 40, of Tavistock, Shannon Hickey, age 20,of Woodstock and Amanda Hill, age 18, of Tavistock are all charged with possession of property obtained by crime. They will appear in Woodstock court to answer to the charges at a later date.
