Approx 325 full time students starting at the Woodstock campus Tuesday
WOODSTOCK - As enrolment continues to climb at Fanshawe College's Woodstock campus, only one third of their students come from Oxford County.
Campus Chair Donna Derer says it's amazing how many students they bring in to such a small space.
"We've got about 325 full time post secondary students, about another 20-25 academic upgrading students, 25 School Within a College Students, 60 duel credit students and about 1800 part time/Continuing Education enrolments."
"Only one third of our new incoming students this year are from Oxford County. All of the rest are from elsewhere in Ontario, Canada or the world."
Derer says there are several programs that continue to be popular.
"Our hairstylist program is wait listed as is our Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Practical nursing is wait listed until it closes every year, huge demand for that program and our PreHealth Science program is pushing 50 students which is our largest program on campus."
Derer says there are still some open programs for people looking to enrol last minute. She says those interested should contact the college.
Anyone interested in fall Continuing Education classes still have time to register as those classes don't typically start for another two weeks.
