Local Conservation Authorities asking residents to use caution around waterways this weekend
While significant flooding is not expected, residents are being asked to use caution around waterways this weekend.
Both the Upper Thames and Grand River Conservation Areas say the water in streams, lakes and rivers will be cold, fast-moving and higher than normal.
Any ice on waterways will be unsafe, and stream banks will be very slippery. Parents need to keep their children and pets away from watercourses.
