UPDATE: The squirrels are starting to use the benches and we have proof.

WOODSTOCK - Your feel good story for the day brought to you by the Sims family in Woodstock.
Matt Sims and his daughter Desiray have been keeping busy during the pandemic by making tiny benches and picnic tables for squirrels. Desiray is in Jr. Kindergarten this year and her home school assignment is to learn basic measurements and math. Working in the shop with her dad teaches her that and so much more.
Desiray's mother Angela Sims says her daughter loves working in her dads workshop and she is an huge animal lover, so that is how this idea came about.
"The tables have only been outside since yesterday and she hasn't been able to catch a squirrel using them yet but she is enjoying the "chase" of watching for them to show up to enjoy her creation. During these stressful times working in the shop together has been a great creative outlet and also a touching bonding experience for Desiray and her dad who is a woodworking hobbyist."
