Despite a publication ban over court proceedings in the pre-trial for Michael Rafferty, a new charge has come to light in the case this week. Rafferty is charged with 1st degree murder and kidnapping, but is also facing a charge of sexual assault causing bodily harm. That's in connection with the death of 8-year-old Tori Stafford in 2009. Up to this point, media have only been reporting on the murder and kidnapping charge, and it's not clear when this 3rd charge was laid, but Tori's father, Rodney Stafford says it's been in play for some time. "Ya, it's always been there. That's the reason there's been a lot of hatred and anger inside of me. I know a lot more than the general public through police, and it's hard to live through it, it hurts that much more." Pre-trial submissions are expected to continue for up to 4-weeks. *Rodney Stafford stands next to his girlfriend Patrina as he speaks with the media (Global TV) outside of London's courthouse during a mid day recess from court proceedings.
