BRANT COUNTY - There will be several changes coming to Brant eRide next year.
Brant County has generated some feedback from the community on their public transportation service.
Based on the feedback from residents, there will be several updates made to the program in the new year.
The updates will include a new offline program for individuals requiring a specialized service, including those with accessibility needs. For those who required this specialized service, they're asked to call eRide at 519-770-TOGO (8646).
They're also encouraged to pre-book all rides by 1:00 pm the day before.
The feedback was collected from the community and from those who used the service during their soft launch this year. The program began in October.
Among the other changes will be additional vehicles added to the Brant eRide fleet, including the introduction of sedans, allowing the eRide program to keep up with demand.
Brant eRide will not run on statutory holidays including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
The new changes will go into effect on January 6th. The regular fares will also go into effect on January 2nd.
You can learn more information about the eRide program on the County's website.
