The Oxford OPP has issued 11 impaired driving charges since the Festive RIDE campaign began on November 21st.
OXFORD COUNTY - It has been a busy Festive RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) season for the Oxford OPP so far.
Officers have conducted 40 RIDE programs since November 21st with 11 impaired charges laid and no warning range suspensions issued.
Looking at last year's numbers, Oxford OPP officers had issued 13 impaired driving charges within the first 21 days of the campaign. Two warning range suspensions had been issued as well.
OPP officers have conducted a total of 883 Festive RIDE programs across the West Region so far this year. Just under 150 impaired driving charges have been laid and 10 warning range suspensions have been issued.
The Festive RIDE campaign targets impaired drivers during the holiday season and it will continue until New Year's Day.
