The final report of the Beachville air quality assessment will be available tot he public later this month.
BEACHVILLE - Beachville residents are invited to a public meeting to hear the final report on the air quality assessment.
An advance copy of the results will be available on April 26th and the public meeting is happening on Thursday April 28th from 6 - 8 pm at the Colombo Club. Manager of Health Protection Peter Haywood tells Heart FM why they started this assessment about two years ago.
"A gap in information that was identified by members of the community, so public health listened and collaborated with members of the community, including different agencies including the Ministry of Environment and we thought it would be in our best interest to investigate this further and collect additional air monitoring results. We'll be discussing our findings with regards to particulate matter that was measured in the Beachville community, some outcomes of our literature review as well as some future strategies with regards to public engagement."
The public meeting's agenda will feature a Q and A and will once again be facilitated by Dianne Damman of D.C. Damman and Associates. Beachville residents can also share their final comments through a feedback form before April 8th which you can find online.
