Woodstock Professional Firefighters are selling t-shirts to raise money for Breast Cancer research.
OXFORD COUNTY- Woodstock firefighters aren't afraid to wear pink for the month of October.
President of the Woodstock Professional Firefighters, Peter Keith, says the group are selling t-shirts for $20 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, with $12 of each sale benefitting breast cancer research. "It's something we've gotten behind for the last couple of years and trying to make more awareness. It's just to get the word out, cancer effects a lot of members."
Keith says the group are hoping to sell out the shirts and highlights the shirts will still be available after October. "If they would like to purchase a shirt, they can contact me directly at president@wpffa.ca and I'll personally deliver it or they can go to the Parkinson Road Fire Hall or Kelsey's (in Woodstock) has gotten on board."
The staff at Kelsey's have been sporting the shirts for the month of October to help raise awareness and funds for the cause.
