A new music festival in Tillsonburg is set to benefit CMHA Oxford.
TILLSONBURG - The first ever Forge Fest is coming to the town of Tillsonburg.
The music festival on Saturday July 28th will feature multiple acts; including the punk rock band Single Mothers and Marcy Playground lead singer John Wozinak.
Festival Organizer Ben Andress they will include lots of different genres.
"There's a large variety with something for everyone; rock, acoustic singer songwriter, punk, there's even some hip-hop and electronic music."
The lineup also includes a handful of comedians.
Andress says it will include five different venues; Sammy Krenshaw's, Boston Pizza, the Copper Mug, the Oxford Parkette and even the Broadway Laundry Mat.
"You just kind of wander around from 6 p.m. to about 1:30 p.m. and catch some cool bands. If you're somewhere and you don't like something you just hop along to the next place or get a schedule ahead of time, pick who you want to see and make a night out of it."
Wristbands are $20 each and all the proceeds will benefit CMHA Oxford.
They can be purchased online here or at the following locations;
- Long & McQuade Musical Instruments (20 Finkle Street, Woodstock)
- Grooves Records (London)
- Bell Store (200 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg)
- Petro-Canada (509 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg)
- Sammy Krenshaw's (51 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg)
- Boston Pizza (102 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg)
- The Copper Mug (79 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg)
- Broadway Laundry Mat (67 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg)
It is an all ages event, but the Copper Mug is a 19 plus venue.
