Five tickets have been issued and further charges may be pending following last night's Project Phoenix anti-lockdown rally in downtown Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police issued five tickets following the recent Project Phoenix anti-lockdown rally in downtown Woodstock.
It was held outside Museum Square last night with about a dozen to two dozen people in attendance.
Several attendees were from out of town and they have attended similar protests in other regions.
Woodstock Police say the five individuals who received tickets were not homeless. They were charged under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act and the Reopening Ontario Act.
Officials also reached out to the organizers of the rally in advance in order to discourage the event from taking place.
The rally was organized by 13-year-old Phoenix Scott of Chatsworth.
