Five OTF Grant Recipients in Oxford

OXFORD COUNTY - It's $595,800 all for causes here in Oxford County.

The Ford Government is providing four local non-profit organizations and one local municipality with funding through the Ontario Trillium Foundation's (OTF) Capital grant stream.

Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman says the grants are meant to help with infrastructure, so the recipient can continue delivering programs and services.

"Our local non-profit organizations play a vital role in building strong communities. These Ontario Trillium Foundation capital grants will help organizations across Oxford improve their facilities and continue providing valuable programs and services. Congratulations to this year's recipients on receiving this important investment."

Looking at the breakdown, Blandford-Blenheim Township will receive the largest cheque of $200,000 to make the Bright playground more accessible. The Norwich Curling Club comes in second place with a $198,800 grant to replace the refrigeration infrastructure, and Theatre Tillsonburg will receive $125,100 to replace the stage lighting.

The Plattsville and District Heritage Society is use a $46,000 cheque to make some upgrades at the Chesterfield Museum & Archives and Focus on Nature in Beachville will receive $25,900 to upgrade its art workshop equipment.
