The Grand River Conservation Authority has issued the flood warnings after the watershed got between 60 and 100 millimetres of rain yesterday.
Flood warnings have been issued for Ayr, New Hamburg and Drayton.
The Waterloo Weather station recored the highest 24 hour total of rainfall ever yesterday. The station says they had over 93.4 millimetres of rain over a 24 hour record, beating the previous record of 91.4 millimetres.

Municipal Flood Coordinators in Flood Warning areas are advised to take all necessary actions to prepare for the forecasted flood conditions. Residents and businesses located in the floodplain should prepare for the risk of flooding and ensure they are aware of their local municipal flood response plans.
