Premier Doug Ford will announce new COVID-19 measures on Monday at his daily press conference at 1:00 pm.
ONTARIO - Premier Ford announced today that lockdowns in Peel and Toronto, set to expire on Monday will continue.
Ford had a short briefing on Friday, after an emergency meeting with health officials. Toronto and Peel were the first regions to move into lockdown. On Monday, they were joined by Windsor-Essex and York Region on Monday.
Normally today is when the Province would announced which regions move into different tiers.
We will be getting an update from the Province on Monday at 1:00 pm. Ford has repeatedly said that all options are on the table to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Several media outlets are reporting one thing that is being strongly considered is a lockdown of all of southern Ontario for 3 weeks starting on Boxing Day until January 11th.
We won't know for sure though until we get the official word from the Province on Monday.
