Johanna Hampson-Ducharme, Dianna Parsons, Brandon Wise, and Tracey Clayton have received the Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal for their hard work in Oxford County.
OXFORD COUNTY - Saving lives is not something the EMS do for glory, however four of Oxford County's finest have received recognition at the highest level.
They join the ranks of 1,900 paramedics to receive the Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal.
Chief Ben Addley is very proud of the local group of recipients.
"Very proud of the four of them, goes to show the excellent staff and excellent work that our paramedics here in Oxford County perform, obviously for them to be able to achieve this over a 20 year career."
Johanna Hampson-Ducharme, Dianna Parsons, Brandon Wise, and Tracey Clayton received the distinctive award.
Addley explains what makes the local paramedics stand out.
"They are the candidates that display that they have done their duties in an exploratory manner; they not only go out and perform as excellent paramedics in their patient care, but also above and beyond in performing other duties."
The recipients were also recognized for their high standards of good conduct, industry, and efficiency.
Addley is very grateful for all of their hard work.
"These paramedics deal with serious risks in order to fulfill their duty on a regular basis, and we are thankful for their service."
