Four youths are facing arson charges in connection with a fire at a vacant home in Woodstock. A fire at the abandoned home on the corner of Lansdowne and Devonshire on September 8th was deemed suspicious by police and fire. Police say they have now charged a 15-year-old female, two 16-year-old males and a 17-year old female with Damage to Property and Break, Enter and Commit Arson. One youth is also facing drug related charges. The suspects can not be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. They will have a future court date on the charges. The city, meantime, continues to wait for the property owner to hire a demolition company to tear down the vacant, burnt out house.
