The latest report on Ontario's elementary schools finds that where your kids go to school can have a big impact on the quality of their education. The Fraser Institute Elementary School Report Card for 2013 was released Sunday morning. It suggests that the province's schools still have a long way to go. The report ranked over 2,700 public, Catholic and francophone elementary schools on the basis of provincial test scores in reading, writing and math in Grades 3 and 6. Around 28 per cent of provincial test results were below the provincial average. Schools are given an overall rating out of 10 to calculate how they're doing compared to the other schools. On average, catholic schools receive higher ratings than public schools. Find out how your child's school scored by clicking here.
