(VIDEO) Members of the Oxford OPP and Woodstock Police took the plunge this year to raise awareness for the Special Olympics.
Oxford OPP members took the plunge last week with Freezing for a Reason.
They did this in support of the Special Olympics. Normally the force does the annual Polar Plunge, along with Woodstock Police. This year was different as they did a virtual plunge.
Officers jumped into ice baths, had some fun on slippy slides and braved the frigid temperatures to raise awareness and support Special Olympics.
They managed to raise enough money to sponsor a local athlete. Not every video made the cut for the feature they put out as over 1/3 of the active members at Oxford OPP participated this year.

Woodstock Police also participated in the Freezing for a Reason Polar Bear Plunge once again. Even retiring Police Chief Daryl Longworth took part.
